I have been working psychodynamically with people in a variety of settings for over thirty five years.  I worked with children, young people and their families as a social worker, school counsellor/supervisor and then as a therapist in a child and adolescent mental health clinic in London.

I emigrated to Dunedin in 2004 and worked as a psychotherapist at Relationship Services (2004-2005) and Otago University Student Health Service (2005-2007) and as a inpatient psychotherapist at Ashburn Clinic (2008-2010) alongside developing my private practice where I continue to see individuals, couples, adolescents and provide supervision for allied health and health professionals.

I value working with people from varied backgrounds, cultures and families of origin who have experienced early loss, trauma, abuse, disadvantage and disability that impacts their lives, relationships and behaviour in the present. I am especially interested in working with parents who  need to explore their own early attachment patterns and childhood experiences to inform, challenge and change their parenting style and or adult relating.
